God's Signpost for Timings of Matt. 24!
Question: What are some Biblical signs that indicate we are living in the End Times? How do these signs relate to current events in Israel?
The “elements” which auger the end of this “Age Time”, are listed in Matt. 24:vs. 3–14. Some Bible teachers have been saying dismissively for many years that some of those “signs” have been evident for a long time, which is partially true, but they usually miss the main one.
The “signpost” which is most revealing regarding authenticity, is the Nation of Israel!
God the Father’s dealings with Israel are evident in the Old and the New Testaments, and there has been a long period of silence in those dealings since the destruction of the last Jewish Temple in AD70 approx. In that silence the Jews have been dispersed throughout the world, as was prophesied by God, because of their lack of fidelity and for dishonouring their vows to Almighty God, which they gave in Deuteronomy, and repeated at various times, particularly to Ezra!
God’s love for His “Chosen People” started to stir again in an overt way just prior to the 2nd. World war, with the “declaration of Lord Balfour”; which linked with the “Zionist Movement”; and which suggested a “homeland for the Jewish people”, who were wide spread in the “diaspora”.
This proposal came to a reality post the 2nd. World war; and as modern history shows, has been a reality since May 1948.
The interesting thing regarding the location of the modern state of Israel, is that it is in the location of that given to them in the Old Testament (Covenant); and despite all the conflict since 1948, the Nation has grown and prospered!
The current turmoil initiated by the Hamas organisation, is the most serious that has existed since 1948, and has all the elements of a greater conflict!
The most interesting point for the Bible Christian is that Almighty God has vowed repeatedly in the Old Testament Prophets, that He will not allow “His Chosen People” to be eliminated; which although they are at present under extreme threat of such an outcome, they are under His Covering Influence!
